•Henry County Hospital leadership team has changed how patients are surveyed for services provided at the hospital. Effective January 1, 2010; Henry County Hospital leadership team is working with Professional Research Consultants to conduct patient satisfaction surveys. The purpose of the patient satisfaction survey is to solicit feedback of what Henry County Hospital staff does well and what staff could do better in order to achieve service excellence. Prior to utilizing Professional Research Consultants; the leadership team utilized National Research Corporation to conduct the patient satisfaction surveys via a paper study. The leadership team decided to transition to a phone survey because the data will be timelier; which will allow us to celebrate successes and make improvements faster. During the transition from a paper survey to a phone survey; it could be a possibility that patients will receive both a paper and phone survey.

Professional Research Consultants will contact patients by telephone who has received care at Henry County Hospital. A random sample method will be utilized, not all patients will be contacted. If a patient is chosen to participate in the phone survey, Professional Research Consultants will contact them via telephone within a short time from the visit to Henry County Hospital. The caller identification number will appear PRC or Prof Research Cons with the phone number (402) 715-5380. The phone survey will not be longer than 7 minutes. If a patient has routine services at Henry County Hospital; the patient will only be surveyed one time per service line in a 6 month period.

•The recent visitation restriction that was implemented November 6, 2009 was removed December 21, 2009. Visitors are asked not to visit if they are ill or experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, headache, chills, and/or muscle aches.
