The Medical Technologist performs various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological
tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Following
established laboratory techniques, the Medical Technologist obtains specimens
from patients; records test results, and properly labels specimens.
Bachelors degree with concentration in Science or Medical Technology, one
year of clinical work experience. Acquires and or maintains drug and alcohol
collection and testing certificate within one year of hire and BLS certified.
ASCP or equivalent registry is preferred.
