A Clinical Dietitian is a highly skilled dietitian responsible for the
meals and diet programs of the hospital. This position manages the menus,
diet, and nutritional assessments within the hospital. They also conduct
community nutritional awareness programs and outpatient Nutrition.
A Dietetic Technician is a skilled member of the clinical Nutrition Services
Department that works under the direction and supervision of the Registered
Dietitian. The Dietetic Technician is responsible to assist the Dietitian
as needed for nutrition assessments and consultations for inpatients and
outpatients. The dietetic Technician will provide nutrition therapy as
requested by physicians, dietitians, nursing staff, or patients. The Dietetic
Technician works closely with the Nutrition Services Staff to provide
the nutrition information needed to deliver excellent patient care. The
Dietetic Technician will conduct community nutrition awareness programs
Clinical Dietitian: BLS, Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics, current Dietitian
license in the State of Ohio, and Commission on Dietetic Registration
of the American Dietetic Association required. Previous work experience
as a dietitian and Certification as a Diabetes Educator preferred.
Dietetic Technician Qualifications: BLS, Completed the Dietetic Technician Program, Current Dietetic Technician
license in the State of Ohio, Commission on Dietetic Registration for
the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics are all required qualifications.
Previous work experience in the Nutrition Services Field is preferred.
