The System Administrator is responsible for deploying new physical and
virtual server computer systems, as well as reviewing, monitoring and
upgrading existing server computer systems. Also, the System Administrator
is responsible for deploying, monitoring, upgrading and maintaining storage
needs for business continuity including backup to both local and offsite
locations. Consults with users to determine user specifications for server
and storage needs. Installs new and maintains existing hardware and software
infrastructure. Provides hardware and software support to assist in administering,
modifying, and maintaining network and security configurations.
Associates degree in Computer Science or related focus, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience. Two years’ experience maintaining
virtualized I/S infrastructure. VMWare ESXi knowledge. Preferred MCSA,
MCSE, VCP and SCSP certifications. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Science or related focus, four years’ experience as System Administrator
in a virtualized environment and previous I/S experience in a healthcare setting.
