The Henry County Hospital Board of Directors held their monthly board meeting
on Monday, January 16, 2012 in the Heller Community Room at Henry County
Hospital. Present at the meeting were Dr. Joseph Krueger, Chairman of
the Board; Kimberly Bordenkircher, Chief Executive Officer; Marv Barlow,
Vice Chairman; Dr. Douglas Lindsey, Chief of Staff; Rick Fruth, John Wilhelm
and Tom Mack. Also present were: Michelle Rychener, Chief Operating Officer;
Patricia Frank, Chief Nursing Officer; Mary Clapp, Controller; Karlee
Badenhop and Lee Ann Druhot, Executive Assistant.
Kim Bordenkircher, Chief Executive Officer, presented the hospital monthly
report to the Board of Directors:
- •A Wig Bank is being created in collaboration with the American Cancer
Society and Henry County Hospital. Women can come to receive wigs and
information on the services that the hospital and ACS can provide to help
them through their cancer journey.
- •Digital Mammography will go live in April 2012.
- •Rehabilitation Services is excited to announce that they will now
be providing treatment for patients with lymphedema. Lymphedema is the
excess fluid that gathers in a part of the body, typically the arms of
breast cancer patients. Staff will provide a variety of treatments to
help patients manage these symptoms. Ms. Emily Stamm and Ms. Sara Jackson
are the lymphedema specialists.
- •Core strengthening classes will be offered Thursday evenings from
January 26 – March 22, 2012. There is no class February 16th. The
classes will be from 5:00 – 5:40pm and will be held in the Heller
Community Room at Henry County Hospital. Ms. Tiffany Pedroza will be the

- •Yoga will be offered Thursday evenings from January 26 – March
15, 2012. There is no class February 16th. The classes will be from 5:45
– 6:30pm and will be held in the Heller Community Room at Henry
County Hospital. Ms. Susan Schink will be the instructor. Please contact

Mary Clapp, Controller presented the financial statements for November
2011. There were 51 admissions and 8 births through November. Days in
accounts receivable increased to 50.
The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2012 in the
Heller Community Room.
