The Henry County Hospital Board of Directors held their monthly board meeting
on Monday, October 6, 2014 in the Heller Community Room at Henry County
Hospital. Present at the meeting were Dr. Joseph Krueger; Chairman, Marv
Barlow; Vice Chairman, Kimberly Bordenkircher, Chief Executive Officer;
Rick Fruth, Dr. Robert Limbird, Anne Goon, Dr. Morris Seal, Tom Mack,
John Wilhelm and Jim Burkhart. Also present were Kristi Barnd, Quality
Improvement Manager and Lee Ann Druhot, Executive Assistant.
Kim Bordenkircher, Chief Executive Officer, presented the hospital monthly
report to the Board of Directors:
- Close to 3,500 people viewed the HCH ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video!!!
Another successful post of recent is the Midwife post – over 1,200
people viewed this post!
- This year's annual EMS Steak Fry was held at the Deshler Fire Department.
- Saturday, September 27th was the annual Heart Walk, which was held at the
Serrick Center at Defiance College. Together, our communities raised $21,116,
thus far, for our life-saving mission! North Star Blue Steel in Delta
still has their fundraiser scheduled for October 20 & 22. They are
predicting approximately $1500-2000 in fundraising dollars for our Heart
Walk from their company. With this, we will have an increase of approximately
33% from last year's Heart Walk. Dr. Seal was the Walk's Chairperson
this year.
Kim Bordenkircher, CEO, presented the financial statements for August
2014. There were 58 admissions and 9 births through August. Days in accounts
receivable increased to 54.
The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 3, 2014 in the
Heller Community Room.
