Hospital. Present at the meeting were Dr. Joseph Krueger, Chairman of

Vice Chairman; Rick Fruth, Anne Goon, and Tom Mack. Also present were:
Patricia Frank, Chief Nursing Officer; Michelle Rychener, Chief Operating
Officer; Mary Clapp, Controller and Lee Ann Druhot, Executive Assistant.
Kim Bordenkircher, Chief Executive Officer presented the hospital monthly
report to the Board of Directors:
- The staff at Henry County Hospital has been chosen to receive an Excellence
in Patient Care award given by Studer Group. We will receive the award—which
will be presented at the 9th annual What's Right in Health Care®
conference—for exemplary "promptness in responding to calls"
ratings on the HCAHPS patient survey. Studer Group gives its Excellence
in Patient Care awards based on very high scores in each of the HCAHPS
categories. Henry County Hospital received its award in the "0-99
beds" category for having the best responses to the HCAHPS question
"During this hospital stay, after you pressed the call button, how
often did you get help as soon as you wanted it?" This award is one
that displays a high level of commitment to every patient each time they
are in Henry County Hospital's care.
- Henry County Hospital was selected as a finalist for Healthland's award,
Better. Together. Healthland employees reviewed a total of 45 nominations
that were sent in for the Better. Together. program and narrowed down
the finalists to the Top 3. The hospital's story really showed how
the facility goes above and beyond to help neighbors in need, protect
the environment, volunteer, contribute, and otherwise strive to make communities
better places to live and work. The attendees at Connect 11 Healthlands
annual meeting will vote for the winning organization.
- Aerobic Toning is a new fitness class offered by Henry County Hospital.
This energy packed class is a great way to get you daily activity in and
on your way in 30 minutes. This class will be held at the Liberty Center
Schools from 3:30-4:00pm. Classes are Sept 21 – Oct 19, 2011. A
registration form can be printed at www.hchfitness.org.
- The hospital is pleased to offer two complementary classes "back to
back" on Thursday nights, starting in October. Please note the free
classes are different than the times for the 7 week session for each of
the classes. The classes will be held in the Heller North Community Room.
Call Gina Hill to register @ 419-591-3824.
- Marjorie Wachtmann fulfilled a five year commitment to Henry County Hospital's
"Building for the Future...Completing Community" capital campaign
by presenting her final check to the hospital in August 2011. Over the
course of five years, Marjorie's donations total $100,000 warranting
a naming opportunity within the hospital. In recognition of her donation,
Marjorie chose to name Henry County Hospital's Chapel in member of
her husband Ray Wachtmann. The name plate reads, "The Lord is my
Sheperd. Ray & Marjorie Wachtmann, David, Lynn, Lisa & families.
Psalm23".
Mary Clapp, Controller presented the financial statements for August 2011.
There were 56 admissions and 8 births through August. Days in accounts
receivable were steady at 54.
The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2011 in the
Heller Community Room.
